British fashionista Emma Watson talked recently whilst at the London SHOWS rooms closing party last week about the difference between British and American fashion, and what she misses the most about London.

WWD: What do you think defines British style?

Emma Watson: It’s so funny because now that I’m in America, I’m more able to define it. Before I didn’t have an awareness of another style. I think [British style] has to do with the weather. We have terrible weather. It’s very gray and drizzly so we need things to cheer us up. And I think that leads to a lot of creativity and color, and I think that’s why our designers are so innovative. Because at home we’re kind of up against the elements in a sense. And we need cheering up. I think we do very well with kind of an eclectic mix. We have great vintage and we love to mix and match: high street and high fashion, vintage…and I think that really defines it as well.

WWD: Now that you’re in Providence, what do you miss most about England and London?

E.W.: Marks & Spencer, the supermarket.

WWD: Really? What do you miss from there?

E.W.: The food, the food! Marks & Spencer’s food. I miss English chocolate. And I miss silly things like the adverts on TV.

A new rumour has come out that Deathly Hallows director David Yates is planning to add a nude sex scene between Harry (Daniel Radcliffe) and Hermione (Emma Watson), as a way to torture Ron (Rupert Grint). A similar scene was written in the book, but Yates claims he will keep it PG for the Potter movies. Read more below and under the cut! What do you think? Feel free to leave a comment on your thoughts!

In the upcoming movie, Yates explains, a monster tortures Harry’s friend Ron (Rupert Grint) with images of Harry in some sort of tryst with Hermione Granger (Emma Watson), with whom Ron is passionately in love.

“We’ll create something that feels very sexy and very intriguing to bring about a reaction in Rupert,” Yates told the Telegraph of the scene.

The imaginary love scene isn’t the only time Radcliffe will have to take his clothes off.

Yates adds, “There is another scene in King’s Cross station, where Harry almost dies and sees Dumbledore. In that scene, he will also be naked.”

Harry Potter, you exhibitionist, you.

The director of “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows” – the two-part final cinematic chapter based on the series of seven books – says Daniel Radcliffe will do several nude scenes in the upcoming movie, one of them of the steamy variety.

Director David Yates told Britain‘s Daily Telegraph, “Dan has appeared nude in the past. There are a couple of scenes in the new film in which he will undress, but we’re still thinking about how to present it.”

Radcliffe, who plays the title character in the series and has thus grown up on screen, famously appeared in the buff – live on stage, no less – in a revival of the play “Equus” that played on both London’s West End and Broadway.

In that scene, he will also be naked.”

In addition to Yates’ dishing on the film, a new teaser trailer, featuring brief interviews with him and producer David Heyman, provides a visual taste of part one of the “Deathly Hallows,” which is due in theaters in November 2010.

Behind the scenes shots show Harry slow dancing with Hermione, a scene that Yates told the Telegraph is one of his favorites, and which does not appear in the book.

Other peeks at the movie being shot show Radcliffe and Watson high-fiving, and Harry performing a bit of magic followed by a camera crew.

The trailer portion shows the trio of wizarding friends on the run through both forest and city while hunting for the horcruxes that may make their enemy, Lord Voldemort, impossible to kill.

“I’m really thrilled that I’m the director who gets the end, and brings the climax and the conclusion to this great story to the audience, so that’s what I’m looking forward to,” Yates says in the video.

Heyman affirms that despite the films’ special effects and “magic,” the characters are story’s heart. “I think Dan, Rupert and Emma, they’re better than ever,” he says.

“Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince” DVD, Blu-ray: The sixth film in the “Potter” franchise finds the actors possessing their best chemistry yet. David Yates directs from Steve Kloves’ script, itself based on J.K. Rowling’s book, and what they created is a fine segue out of most of the awkwardness of adolescence and into the throes of young adulthood. A good deal of the movie is unsettling and intense, more grounded and rich than any other film in the series. This time out, Harry (Daniel Radcliffe), Ron (Rupert Grint) and Hermione (Emma Watson) must deal with not only the fact that romance is entering into their lives, but also that Draco Malfoy (Tom Felton) is increasingly giving himself over to a dark side that will threaten them all if he fully embraces it.

While Ron and Hermione brood along the sidelines — her affections for Ron are revealed in this movie, in ways that are unrequited since Ron is involved with Lavender Brown (Jessie Cave) — it’s Harry who naturally has the most challenges to contend with. First up is dealing with his feelings for Ron’s sister, Ginny (Bonnie Wright). Second is the real core of the story, which focuses on how Dumbledore (Michael Gambon) needs Harry’s help to undo Lord Voldemort. Robbie Coltrane’s Hagrid and Maggie Smith’s Minerva McGonagall continue to be shortchanged, but Alan Rickman’s Severus Snape finds himself at the center of the movie, his character realizing a depth it never has enjoyed. The same goes for Helena Bonham Carter’s Bellatrix Lestrange, a wild toss of Gothic frizz who bellows through the movie and gives it a wild edge in those few moments she’s allowed onscreen. Even when she, Coltrane and Smith aren’t onscreen, the movie satisfies with new revelations and twists, one so dire it might leave fans motionless after fate reveals its cruel hand and the credits start to roll. Rated PG. Grade: B+

A new article on the good and bad things on Half-Blood Prince has come out. Please enjoy!

Half-Blood Prince is also different from the other films in the series in that it has a great deal of humor. Where other films have been more serious, the writers of Half-Blood Prince brilliantly incorporated humor into the dialogue, providing scenes of true comic relief to balance out the somber nature of the film’s events.

However, the movie lacks in several areas. Although it is called Half-Blood Prince, it seems that Yates chose to center the story on the relational aspects of the characters rather than get at the core story of the actual half-blood prince. Harry has an important relationship with this character, though their connection isn’t revealed until the end of the film.
