A new rumour has come out that Deathly Hallows director David Yates is planning to add a nude sex scene between Harry (Daniel Radcliffe) and Hermione (Emma Watson), as a way to torture Ron (Rupert Grint). A similar scene was written in the book, but Yates claims he will keep it PG for the Potter movies. Read more below and under the cut! What do you think? Feel free to leave a comment on your thoughts!
In the upcoming movie, Yates explains, a monster tortures Harry’s friend Ron (Rupert Grint) with images of Harry in some sort of tryst with Hermione Granger (Emma Watson), with whom Ron is passionately in love.
“We’ll create something that feels very sexy and very intriguing to bring about a reaction in Rupert,” Yates told the Telegraph of the scene.
The imaginary love scene isn’t the only time Radcliffe will have to take his clothes off.
Yates adds, “There is another scene in King’s Cross station, where Harry almost dies and sees Dumbledore. In that scene, he will also be naked.”
Harry Potter, you exhibitionist, you.
The director of “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows” – the two-part final cinematic chapter based on the series of seven books – says Daniel Radcliffe will do several nude scenes in the upcoming movie, one of them of the steamy variety.
Director David Yates told Britain’s Daily Telegraph, “Dan has appeared nude in the past. There are a couple of scenes in the new film in which he will undress, but we’re still thinking about how to present it.”
Radcliffe, who plays the title character in the series and has thus grown up on screen, famously appeared in the buff – live on stage, no less – in a revival of the play “Equus” that played on both London’s West End and Broadway.

In addition to Yates’ dishing on the film, a new teaser trailer, featuring brief interviews with him and producer David Heyman, provides a visual taste of part one of the “Deathly Hallows,” which is due in theaters in November 2010.
Behind the scenes shots show Harry slow dancing with Hermione, a scene that Yates told the Telegraph is one of his favorites, and which does not appear in the book.
Other peeks at the movie being shot show Radcliffe and Watson high-fiving, and Harry performing a bit of magic followed by a camera crew.
The trailer portion shows the trio of wizarding friends on the run through both forest and city while hunting for the horcruxes that may make their enemy, Lord Voldemort, impossible to kill.
“I’m really thrilled that I’m the director who gets the end, and brings the climax and the conclusion to this great story to the audience, so that’s what I’m looking forward to,” Yates says in the video.
Heyman affirms that despite the films’ special effects and “magic,” the characters are story’s heart. “I think Dan, Rupert and Emma, they’re better than ever,” he says.

HELL NO. I didn’t even like what little bit they had to torture Ron in the books – no way do I want to see the two of them like that!

omg! that’s sucks. I hate david yates, really, i hate him right now. He can’t do that. In the book is different.
He makes more scenes about hermione and harry together than ginny and harry. I talk about the kiss scene about Ginny and Harry in his birthday… that would be like more passionately. No hermione and harry in that scene . It’s ridiculous.

I think this is taken way out of propotion. There were rumors of Dan being naked in two scenes, one, as in the book, the King’s Cross scene; the other, where Harry dives for the Gryffindor’s sword whereas in the book he’s only in boxers it seems that in the movie he’ll bare it all. Now we know that after that there’s the scene where Harry’s and Hermione’s visions “meet lips” and Yates say they indeed did something sexy and intense so you could see Ron’s reaction to it. Nothing “nude” between them.

No! I think it’s a bad idea! I mean it’s sick, cause they’re like brother and sister, their relationship! I’d be better if the seen was with Tom Felton! I mean, he’s the worst possible person she could go with! PLus, all the Dramione Fans would go crazy..

OK. don’t hate me. I am just curios about your opinion. Iam a H/Hr shipper from the start, almost 10 years now. And i love the trio but i dont really liked Ginny. But i adore Bonnie, Emma, Rup and Dan. I can see the tension between R/HR and H/G (ok, i can see it in H/Hr too, but i am not here to talk about this) . But in the book i can not feel the same sexual tension beetween Dan and Bonnie or Rup and Emma. I love them, really am, and in the movies Rup and Hermione looks cute, honestly, Bonnie and Dan looked little akward to me, but maybe it is me. I couldnt see the tension between them. They were ccute but thats it, nothing more. But if it comes to Emma and Dan they have chemistry, this is why the directors make so much “H/Hr “scene or why theye are mostly photographed together on Photoshoots. ‘I dont mean they fancie each other, just there is people who have this chemistry with other people, it doesnt necesery means that they will get together. And this kind off connection Bonnie and Dan, Rup and Emma lacks, but Dan and Emma have.

Talking about chemestry between the actors I totally see your point. I won’t talk about the characters because running this website I think proves my opinion
but as for the actor’s chemestry goes, I agree with you, you can’t deny there’s chemestry between Dan and Emma, but I think you can’t either deny the chemestry between Rupert and Emma, and it’s different than Dan’s and Emma’s, one that works for Ron and Hermione.
I love the trio’s chemestry so in that I don’t have a complaint, working and growing up together for 10 years has definitely helped.
I actually also agree about Harry and Ginny in the movies, which is way different than the books, the chemestry (or lack of it) between Dan and Bonnie is awkward and I don’t know if it is because they didn’t really worked together as Dan did with Emma and Rupert, or the vision of director really influenced that. At the end, the result was what the David Yates wanted and we have to acept it.
In the end, we have to agree that the books are something and the movies are another.

Did you guys READ the article? Why are so many of you against this. This scene is cannon. It happened in the book, Ron was tortured with this vision of Harry and Hermione. (Am I the only cannon shipper here?) This causes Ron to be jealous and really display his true feelings for her. How sweet! I hope they keep it.

Totally agree Jillian. I bet most of you just read sex scene between Dan and Emma and are just jumping into conclusion without really reading the whole article, besides, this happens in the book.

Well,we can’t deny that Harry was naked in Kings Cross and probably in the movie they’ll won’t show all of Dan cos that will be R rated or M18.But in the scene where Ron sees the vision of Harry and Hermione kissing, they were definitely fully clothed so I don’t really like the idea of Dan and Emma being naked.I think both David Yates and Steve Kloves just like the idea of pairing up Dan and Emma. They are forgetting that they have to stick to the characters and not what the audience like cos Emma and Dan stands out more as compared to Rupert. There was this interview between Steve Kloves and JK where he told her that he thought something was blooming between Harry and Hermione when Hermione brushed the top of Harry’s head lghtly and also at Godric’s Hollow where Harry put an arm around Hermione’s shoulder and Hermione put hers around Harry’s waist. This just proves that he is interested with the chemistry between Harry and Hermione

After reading over this article the first time, I felt mad that something like this could be in DH and that Yates was trying to buy into the “sex” market with Harry Potter.
After reading it over again, with a clear mind this time, I got a total different impression on the whole thing. Reading a scene in a book is total different from seeing it in a movie everyone should know that. In the book, the words on the page let us know the immense torture that Ron is experiencing and when your watching a movie, there are no words to do that for you, it’s all pictures and voices! Yates had to come up with a way to convey what Ron was going through to the audience in a visual form so that the audience could feel for him. If the scene was coped line for line from the book, movie goers might not get how Harry and Hermione just kissing hurts Ron because we don’t have the power of J.K.’s writing to back it up and describe in detail what he was going through! In now way are Yates and Kloves trying to form a plot line that’s not in the book, they are just trying to help the audience understand the pain that Ron has to go through! They are not at all trying to say that Harry and Hermione have feelings for each other at all, they are showing the opposite, just as it does in the book, that Ron is completely in love with Hermione at this point in the series! We also must remember that J.K. has approved this to be in the movie so obviously it’s going to be fine and that we should all stop worrying about it!
I have gone from dreading Nov 19 to feeling the day can’t come sooner. Remember, this sort of scare happened before GoF came out and when the scene was viewed in the movie, all could see that it was blown out of proportion by a mile. Yates also mentioned in the article “There are a couple of scenes in the new film in which he will undress, but we’re still thinking about how to present it.” which means, that’s right, they haven’t even filmed them yet and that they could change their minds and it may end up that the picture we get in out minds when we read this article, is not what Yates wanted to imply at all. I also feel that the reporter assumes quite a bit and tries to make it as “sexy” as possible (as reporters these days often like to do
)
All in all, if I’m not worried, no one should be because if I truly though Yates was sabotaging R/Hr, I would be one unhappy camper and from previous interviews, he has said that he really likes the ship which further makes me believe that he wouldn’t
